VoIP Costs
What does it cost?

Abacus Telecomm has positioned itself as one the most competitively priced VoIP providers in South Africa.

  • Free SIP trunk set up

  • Free monthly rentals on SIP trunks

  • Calls to SA cellular providers = R0.50c per minute or R0.008c per second

  • Calls to SA landline numbers = R0.24c per minute or R0.004c per second

  • Pure second billing

  • International rates on request and country specific.

How does it work?

VoIP is making use of your internet connection in order to traffic your voice calls. Simply put, your voice is converted into DATA packets. These DATA packets are then transprorted over the internet to its destination. Once it has arrived at the destination these DATA packets are then converted back into an audio file and heard by the callee on the other side.

Where traditional PSTN or GSM providers are involved, calls are trafficked over the internet to a point and  then originated and terminated on that network.
